CARLO RINALDI TO UNIWORLD

19 SEP 2018: Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection has announced the appointment of Carlo Rinaldi as district sales manager for Eastern Canada effective immediately. Rinaldi comes to his new role with over 15 years of experience in the Canadian hospitality and travel industry, most recently at Porter Airlines as one of the founding members of its sales team.


ROYAL SCENIC APPOINTS ROBERT DUNGAN AS PRESIDENT

17 SEP 2018: Ivy Yeung, CEO of Royal Scenic, has announced the appointment of Robert Dungan as President. Dungan has considerable airline and industry experience having worked at Air Canada for over five years in a multitude of roles with increased responsibility.


CHANGES AT WESTJET

07 SEP 2018: WestJet announced changes to its sales leadership. Effective immediately, Lyell Farquharson, Vice-President, Sales, has left WestJet. The airline will be recruiting a permanent replacement for this position, but in the interim, the following members of our Commercial Leadership team will cover all key sales areas:

05 SEP 2018: Kim Clarke, director of sales for the Globus family of brands, has announced a new appointment to the company’s Canadian sales team. Crystal Jones has been promoted from Call Centre to Inside Sales, covering GTA North and West, 613 area code, South and Northwestern Ontario and Atlantic Canada.  


DISNEY DESTINATIONS ANNOUNCES
District sales manager Western Canada

30 AUG 2018: Tanya Idzan has joined the Disney Destinations sales team as District Sales Manager, Western Canada, covering a one year maternity leave for Angela (Stecca) Cain. Tanya has over 20 years of experience in the Travel Industry as a District Sales Manager and in travel agency sales. 
 


UNIQUE VACATIONS CANADA ADDS TO SALES TEAM

30 AUG 2018: Maureen Barnes-Smith, Director of Sales & Marketing, Unique Vacations Canada has announced the appointment of two new members to her Outside Sales team, effective immediately.  Both new team members will be based in Western Canada to work closely with travel agents, tour operators and tourist board partners in their respective regions.

29 AUG 2018: Contiki has announced the appointment of Brad Weiler as its new Sales and Business Development Manager for the Greater Toronto Area and Northeastern Ontario regions effective immediately. Weiler comes to his new role with extensive knowledge of the travel trade business from his time based in Australia at Unleashed Grad Trips.

28 AUG 2018: Aimia Inc. has named Nathaniel Felsher as president and chief strategy officer, less than a week after announcing a deal to sell its flagship Aeroplan loyalty programme to a consortium led by Air Canada. Felsher is from Deutsche Bank, where he co-headed the firm's aviation corporate and investment banking group.

16 AUG 2018: Trafalgar has announced the appointment of Kaylyn Skulski as Sales Manager for Alberta.  

Skulski joins Trafalgar with many years of experience in sales and marketing, and has been in the travel industry for the past two years working on a cruise ship followed by a travel agency.

01 AUG 2018: Global luxury travel agency network Virtuoso announced that Tim Morgan has been appointed as its new director of Business Strategy for Canada. CLIA PRESIDENT AND CEO TO STEP DOWN

20 JUL 2018: Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced that CEO and president Cindy D'Aoust will be stepping down from the association at the end of the year in order to focus on family priorities. She will remain in her role until a successor is found and will help oversee the transition of the new leader, said the cruise association today.

17 APR2018: Air Canada Vacations has appointed Dana Gain to the role of senior director Sales, Groups and Partnerships effective April 23. Gain will be responsible for the development of the national sales strategy, as well as supporting and growing all the B2B lines of business and increasing distribution channels. She will also continue to forge strategic partnerships and will manage all partnership agreements.

Gregg Saretsky retires. Ed Sims takes over.

12 MAR 2018: WestJet Airlines Ltd.'s announcement of a new chief executive, effective immediately, marks an abrupt end to an eight-year run for outgoing CEO Gregg Saretsky, who is retiring just months before the airline is expected to unveil its new ultra-low-cost carrier Swoop, which has been the source of labour disputes between unionized pilots and the company.

05 MAR 2018: Swoop has announced that Steven Greenway will take over as president of WestJet's ultra-low-cost-carrier starting today. WestJet also announced that Bob Cummings, who was in charge of the Swoop launch, will move into the role of WestJet executive vice-president, strategy and guest services. Both men will report directly to WestJet Group president and CEO, Gregg Saretsky.
