FLORIDA RESCUERS BRACE FOR SPIKE IN MANATEE RESCUES DUE TO RED TIDE

The deadly bloom of red tide continues to invade Florida’s southwestern coast putting many marine species at risk, including manatees, which are particularly vulnerable as herbivores and algae eaters. According to a report by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), it’s predicted that this toxic algae will continue blooming into 2019. MORE

Construction and ride testing on this adrenaline pumping coaster continues to go well. Electric Eel features multiple-launch experiences that propel riders forward and backward as they speed through the ride’s station house accelerating to more than 60 mph in seconds. Riders then rocket skyward nearly 150 feet where they brave an inverted “heartline” roll and a twisting loop for an exciting feeling of airtime as they crest the top before breathlessly returning to the station.
